Dalton Gossett
Shepherd
Dalton is a native Texan, but he and wife Judy have lived in Shreveport since 1988. Dalton graduated from Texas A&M University. He taught biology at LSU Shreveport for over thirty years. He and his wife Judy married in 1964 and have two daughters and four grandchildren. Dalton retired as Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences at LSUS in 2017. He and Judy have been members at University since 1988.
Leroy Thompson

Leroy was born and raised in Jamaica. He and his family moved to Shreveport in 2015. Leroy and Marcia have been married since 2006 and have three children, Ariel (Jamaica), Lejay, and Jaelan. Leroy works as Operations Support for Simplot Grower Solutions. Leroy and Marcia have been members at University since 2015.
JW Youngblood
Shepherd
Raised in Baker, Florida, JW moved to Shreveport/Bossier City area in 1981 to work for Halliburton where he retired in 2015. He has been a member at University since 1981. JW and his wife Nancy have been married since1982. Together, they have two children: Curt, married to Brianne, and Megan married to Frank Bolling. JW and Nancy have four grandsons.

Pulpit Minister
Jerry is originally from Fort Worth, Texas. He has been married to his wife, Lori since 1988. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University. Jerry and Lori have 3 children: Hailey and her husband Clark Carlisle, Heather and her husband Alex Carlisle, and Caleb. Clark and Alex are not related. Jerry also has two grandchildren, Case and Sophie. Jerry and his family have been members of University since 1994.
Stuart Freeman
Associate Minister
Stuart is originally from Midland, Texas. He has been married to his wife, Jelisa since 1985. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University. Stuart and Jelisa have 2 children: Aubrey, married to Nick Scallorn, and Trevor. He also has one grandson, Carter. Stuart and his family have been members of University since 1996.
Brian Petree
Youth Minister
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Brian has been all over the South, including a five-year stint in West Monroe. He met his wife, Emilee, at Harding University and they were married in 2014. Brian graduated in 2013 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He and Emilee have two beautiful daughters: Andee, born in 2021, and Ramsee, born in 2024. Other than golf or Tennessee football, Brian's true passion is being the sycamore tree, lifting teenagers above the crowd to see the approaching savior more clearly.
Emilee Petree
Children's Minister
Born and raised in Denison, Texas, Emilee graduated from Harding University in 2013. She moved to Shreveport when her husband, Brian, became the Youth Minister. She and Brian have two daughters, Andee Elizabeth and Ramsee Sophia. She was named the interim Children’s Program Director in April 2018 and became University’s full-time Children’s Director in August 2018. Emilee loves working with children of all ages.
